Interstellar (2014)

I was Lead Texture Artist on Interstellar - this was one of my all-time favorite projects. I was able to texture and create matte paintings for so many interesting shots in the film- including creating new nebula, sewing geo data together for the earth shots, creating a close-up Saturn image (before we had any hint of what it actually looks like close up), and painting clouds from an orbital perspective. One of the most interesting experiences was watching our supes and engineers work with scientists to create the black hole visual with physically correct maths. I painted several matte paintings of new nebula for the new system.
