John Carter of Mars (2012)

John Carter of Mars (or JCOM as we called it) was one of those funny shows and my first gig at DNEG. Usually we have no idea what the plot and the rest of the movie looks like outside of our shots so it was a bit of a shock when it came out and how it was received. The work was fun though, I was Texture Lead on Costumes, Weapons and Props. We had some of the actual props in hand to work with, which always leads to better work, IMO. Maybe one day they'll redo this one?
